Do you offer a military discount?
-
We do! You can submit your information through SheerID to receive a custom discount code here: https://www.cobbtuning.com/military-verification/
Can you tell if my car's been previously tuned, even if I provide the VIN?
-
Unfortunately, no. Since Accessports can install and uninstall on an infinite number of supported vehicles, it's not something we can keep track of.
Can I still trade in my V1 or V2 Accessport?
-
We had a trade-in program for the V2, but that has since ended in 2018. If you were to purchase a V3 Accessport, you're able to safely install that over your V1 or V2 Accessport if it's no longer working.
Are you able to repair my V1 or V2 Accessport?
-
Unfortunately, we no longer offer repair services for previous versions of the Accessport. If you were to replace it with a V3 Accessport, you can safely install it over your current Accessport tune.
Can you send me a map for my aftermarket downpipe?
-
None of our Accessports or OTS maps will work with an aftermarket downpipe. We always recommend using the factory/OEM downpipe, not only to help meet federal emissions standards but also for the performance and safety of the car.
That being said, to safely use the Accessport, you'll need to uninstall the aftermarket downpipe and install the factory/ OEM downpipe or OE-equivalent.

Can you send me Accesstuner so I can tune my own car?
-
Unfortunately, we no longer have Accesstuner for end-users as of April 2022.
If you have COBB components for which we don't have OTS maps for, we would recommend that you contact your preferred Protuner for guidance on your build. You can find a list of those (based on your geo-location) here: https://www.cobbtuning.com/dealers
Can you make me a custom tune?
-
We do not offer custom tuning at COBB Tuning headquarters; our focus is currently on R&D, retail, and support. We have an extensive Protuner network that you can seek out for a custom tune using our dealer locator here: www.cobbtuning.com/dealers
Is the Accessport compatible with my JDM Subaru?
-
Unfortunately, we do not offer Accessports that are compatible with JDM Subarus. While we would love to add support, it’s not something we have the time or resources for.
My Accessport won't connect to my computer, but it will power on.
-
If Accessport Manager isn't detecting that the Accessport is connected to your computer/laptop, this most likely means that the cable you are using is not a micro USB data transfer/data sync cable. If you can't find your original cable, you can purchase a new cable from a local store as long as it's labeled as such.

Can I reset the Accessport myself without the car it's still installed/married to?
-
Yes, but you'll need to work with us to do so, and depending on the situation, it may be costly.
Here is our guide that provides more information about what that process could look like if you purchased your Accessport second-hand: https://cobbtuning.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PRS/pages/362972179/Buying+a+Used+Accessport
Can I use an Accessport to monitor only, as I am tuned with another software?
-
No, the Accessport must be installed on that vehicle's ECU to be able to use the Gauge functionality.
